LivingOnThePatio
We help like-minded homeowners, concentrating on first-time buyers and downsizing retirees, to 1) understand all the benefits – health, emotional, financial – of using a personalized outdoor living space (OLS) and 2) navigate their choices to upgrade and create their own outdoor living space before they destroy their budget, hire an unnecessary professional or fall down the DIY black hole. While we started livingonthepatio.com in Vinton, Virginia to share our experiences to create an outdoor living space during the pandemic (2022), it has become a mission to encourage everyone to view an OLS as a necessity.
Our community seeks to take advantage of the personal research and construction we’ve already done so they won’t be starting from scratch. Most of all, we want people to have as much fun as we are having creating an outdoor living space that satisfies wants and needs without breaking the bank.
We have developed planning tools that will stimulate conversation and ideas about outdoor living spaces and help people get to identifying what they want, how much they should/can spend, and whether they’ll tackle this project as a DIY (Do-It-Yourself), hire professionals, or make it a combination of both.
