Randy Beckwith here. I’m thankfully retired. But, my career included graphic designer, copy writer and marketing professional. Now I live with my wife in Roanoke, Virginia enjoying time relaxing on our patio that was a necessary addition to our home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I love to cook fun, simple but tasty food. When enjoying an adult beverage on the patio it’s usually a vodka martini. And I do simple DIY projects to enhance our home and outdoors. We’ve had great fun building an outdoor living space on a “reserved” budget and want to share our experience with anyone who wants the same without breaking the bank.   1. I love your slogan Every day is a Friday on the Patio. I think your blog is very well written and has some very useful information in it. I specifically loved the blog about the umbrella stand you made out of the cable spool. I will have to try and make one of those for our patio at the lake.

    1. Mandi: We love our slogan too and practice it almost every day. Spending time outdoors on our patio is a delightful refreshment we can enjoy as much as we want. That’s why we feel that developing an outdoor living space as close as your backyard is so important to personal peace and happiness.
